TERMITES!!
I have just noticed the begining of a termite invasion in my utility shed where I store my lawn equipment and lumber. The building is wood frame on a poured slab with T-111 siding. The little critters are invading via mud tubes up the exposed concrete between the ground and sill plate. The sill is PT, but of course the siding is not. I thought my dad had a gallon or so of left-over cloridane at his house, but no luck. Do you folks have a suggestion as to what currently available insecticide would be effective to treat the ground around my shed? There are no animals in my yard (that I care about), so livestock hazard is not an issue. I just want something potent and long-lasting. Any suggestions?
