More prizes for the Fall woodworking contest will be determined at a later date. But the free hat, and your project picture, brief description, and your name posted on the front page of Allwoodwork will still be offered.
Here are the AllWoodWork hats. . You will get your choice of color (of the colors displayed). ****************************************** 8-28-03 Rockler.com has been kind enough to donate a prize to the contest. Rockler is an outstanding company! And they are showing their support for all woodworkers by helping to sponsor this contest. Please return the favor by visiting Rockler.com and showing your support to them. ![]() Rockler.com has donated a Magnetic pushstick. You can click Here to see more details about it. ****************************************** West Penn Hardwoods has donated a choice of a variety pack of figured exotic hardwoods. Approximately 10bft, including Curly Bubinga and Curly Makore. Or a variety pack of various exotic wood pen blanks, including Snakewood and others. Although the winner is responsible for shipping costs, the wood itself is free. Please show your support of those who support us by visiting their website or giving them a call. And remember to tell them AllWoodWork.com sent you. ![]() ****************************************** I am also looking for other sponsors to donate more prizes. I will add them here, as I find them. The more visitors that come here and participate, will give us a better chance at getting some sponsors to donate better prizes. So let's make this a contest that everyone talks about. ****************************************** RULES Unfortunatly, due to the forum software you have to be registered to enter the contest and vote. (but it is free, so no big deal.) Due to the problems and hassles of shipping large packages over seas I think it would be best if only US and Canadian residents entered. If your from over seas you can still enter but I cannot promise that you will be able to claim any of or possibly all of the prizes offered if you win. So please, no hard feelings if you win and can't recieve the prizes. Our sponsors are donating prizes out of the kindness of their hearts and should not be held responsible for shipping problems or limitations that may arise in this kind of situation. 1. Entries will be accepted from September 1, 2003 until November 30, 2003 at approximately 9pm eastern time. 2. Voting will be from December 1, 2003 until December 24, 2003 9pm eastern time. This should be a very merry Christmas to some lucky woodworker. 3. You can post 2 pictures of your entry. And only one entry per person. 4. The winner will be decided by a poll. So you are being judged by your peers, not some panel of experts. Well ok, maybe some of you are experts. ![]() 5. You cannot enter a previous winning project. One win per project. Sorry, but that's only fair for everyone. Plus it is one more reason to get your butts in the shop and make something. ![]() ****************************************** How do you post pictures here?? Posting pictures is fairly simple here. There are three methods. 1. Using vB Code. When you click the "reply" button, or "post new messege" button, there is a tool bar labeled "vB Code". Just click the "IMG" button, and a window will pop up. Just enter the picture's URL (Internet address) This will automaticly insert the picture that is located on your own website or host. This way you can post multiple pictures in one messege. 2. You can also use regular HTML in the messege to do the same thing as the vB Code. This way you can post multiple pictures in one messege. 3. You can also attach a picture to your messege right from your computer, by using the "Attach file" option located at the bottom of the post/reply window, right above the submit button. This way you can only attach one picture per messege, so you will have to submit two seperate replies to enter two pictures. If you want, you can go to the support forum, and test things out to get the hang of things. Just write "testing" in the title and messege body, and I will delete them later. Good luck and have fun, Rob Last edited by RobSmith : 08-29-2003 at 03:14 PM. |

"A BACKYARD OASIS"
I've constructed this planter as a present for my daughter, she & and her family will be able to sit in the shade created by the umbrella and sip on the drinks that are sitting on the small side tables. The project is made from 100% cedar and therefore should withstand our 5 months of snow. ![]() ![]() Last edited by RobSmith : 12-01-2003 at 05:14 PM. |
