Hello fellow woodworkers!!

I am new to woodturning, so I was hoping someone could provide some tips to get me started. Some questions I have are, what are the best types of wood for spindle / table leg turning, as well where are the best places to get wood in the Toronto area?

you best bet would be to find a local club. I go to one in the San Diego area and they have turning going on in almost every monthly meeting. they are also a good source of information concerning tools, lathes etc.
